A Week in Farm Photos August 18th 24th


We had another heat wave this past week but we take comfort in the knowledge that autumn is just around the corner. Hopefully that will signal an end to all this season's broodiness. It seems that I break one and another hen decides she's ready to become a mom! We finally found a home for our rooster John Quincy, which was bittersweet, but means that there will be no babies here ... at least until next spring! On the duck front, our little duckling is growing like a weed and it has been very entertaining to watch her grow.  We've been harvesting pears and are hoping for a new raspberry crop soon. I hope you enjoy the best of this past week's photos.
