for chick coop

past week was ALL about baby chicks! We had one hatch in our incubator and two more hatch under our broody Chocolate Orpington, Truffle. Truffle is now happily mothering three new chicks in a dog crate on the floor of our coop complete with dirt to scratch in, clumps of grass and weeds to munch on, warm straw bedding and even a cute pink bunting! is our 6th spring to have baby chicks on the farm, but watching the miracle of life never ceases to amaze!
