Barn Hop 19
Im keeping my post short today... just some bullet points, but I hope to do entire posts on some of this really soon!
• Our laundry line is up and ready to go!
• The garden is FINALLY looking like it will produce something other than lettuce!
• However, Im losing the battle of weeds in the garden this year.
• I am fermenting my first batches of pickles! Hope they turn out good!
• My sourdough starter is doing well and Im going to start making things with it this week. Yum!
• I finally got my lovely clematis planted (which Ive had for over a year) and it looks beautiful!
• Im working on digging a huge hole to plant two climbing roses bushes next to the chicken coop. Ive dreamed of this forever!... roses climbing up the coop that is.
• I have a rooster!! Actually two. Seems that whoever sexed the layers didnt do too good a job. Two out of eight are male. One is a lovely Buff Orpington rooster which Ill probably keep.
• Ive been cleaning out the school room of old books and curriculum as well as adding more bookshelves in order to get ready for the fall.
